This piece investigated liability placed upon places, people, and institutions and why liability waivers exist (and how they change or manipulate the experience for audience members). Thinking about the facets of liability with in the daily actions of both being a performance artist and a type 1 diabetic since I was 7 years old. I have been giving myself four shots a day for 32 years, injecting a substance into my body everyday that I trust will do what it is suppose to. This piece further investigates the role of anticipation and personal responsibility when working in medium of performance art, as an artist and audience member and a museum educator.
