There were 8 small “huts” at the Jacob’s Center where the FLEX IT! performance event took place. Each hut represented a culture that lived around the area. There was very little information about the huts or the cultures they were tied to. It was an interesting place.
My set up: Chromobalance sign on the hut, table and two chairs inside, two large collages on either side of the table with information about color. On the table: small grey lazy Susanne with bottles filled with color pills (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, white and black), clip board with questionnaire, a few different color related objects, a grey cloth covered the table, I am dressed in grey. Starting at about 5pm people begin to line up at my hut, I met with people one on one. The first thing I requested each person to do is to split the color deck (= about 150 pieces of color paper that are 3” x 3”). I then put aside the color where the deck was split. They are each asked the same set of questions and then prescribed the colors they need based on their answers. A few interesting observations about the evening…. about 95% of the people I spoke with when asked to split the deck of color, split it at the color that they most “needed”; there was a line out my hut until the very end; by the time the last person left my hut everything else was cleaned up and cleared away; everyone I talked to was curious and interested.
